First, I want to thank all of you, members and readers, for another great year at Scientific Remodeling System. Thanks for your support, comments, suggestions, and feedback. This is what I treasure the most. Learning more about what works for you, and what doesn’t. Then sharing those concepts with others.
Some of you have had an exceptional year. Others were just in “maintenance” mode. And, unfortunately, there were some who had a really crappy year. Whatever your year was like, I’m going to show you a way to make next year even better.
Let me share with you some of the difficulties that various remodelers endured this year:
- Not getting paid in full
- Slow payments
- Having very poor cash flow
- Barely able to make payroll
- Issues with clients that escalated to law suits
- Misunderstandings that either cost the remodeler a good client, or led to low margins on that project
- Improper documentation that created serious issues later in the project

And the list goes on and on.
The good news is that all this is totally avoidable, if you do your due diligence. If you set up good systems that are easily understood and simple to carry out, and then follow them religiously, it will be hard to fail. The problem is that even though you may have staff and associates, they don’t hold you accountable sometimes. To really stay the course, you need someone to hold you accountable, and to help you navigate the unpredictable issues that constantly arise in remodeling. You need a teammate who cares about your business, and has already navigated the waters you are in right now.
This is where I come in. I can and will help you have a better year next year. I can and will help you set up better systems and processes to guide your staff consistently to the proper destination. What do I offer as a coach?
My approach to coaching is that every remodeler is unique. I can’t see the value in a one-size-fits-all type of coaching. I know that you each have different needs and dreams. And that is the way I approach my duties.
One of your first duties as a new client, is to fill out a lengthy survey. The answers to these questions will determine your needs, aspirations, and business skill level. We’ll be discussing these points for several of our initial sessions.
After each coaching session, I will send you a summary of the session, and give you a call to action – what you need to work on to grow a great business.
We’ll also go over your current situation, and iron out areas that are causing you, or are going to cause you, to lose money or will create future problems for you.
Each coaching period is 6 months long. It will take that long to start to show really positive results. My job is to see that you not only get a return on your investment for my services, but to see a true ROI in your business, have more free time, and in general, feel more positive about your business.
You have to be committed to growing and improving your company. You are the one who is going to do the heavy lifting. I’m going to coach you, encourage you, show you what to avoid and what to embrace, and in the end, help you create a business that will stand head and shoulders above your competition. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.
